Thank You AmeriCorps!

This week is the fifth annual AmeriCorps Week! For those of you who aren’t familiar with AmeriCorps, it is a federal program that was started as a way to overcome poverty here at home (similar to the Peace Corps abroad).

United Way of Utah County has several AmeriCorps VISTAs (donate a full year’s service) and State (part-time service for one semester) members. We wouldn’t be able to accomplish even close to what is happening in the community without their dedication and commitment to advancing the common good here in Utah County. Our amazing AmeriCorps members are currently working on projects including The South Franklin Community Center, Volunteerism in North and South Utah County, 2-1-1, Help Me Grow, Welcome Baby, VITA and the Volunteer Care Clinic.

Thank you to all of your for choosing to LIVE UNITED! For more information on what our AmeriCorps are doing or if you are interested in becoming an AmeriCorps, click here.
