Bill Hulterstrom has been the president of United Way of Utah County
since 1983. Mr. Hulterstrom manages and directs relations with numerous
local and national organizations, leveraging resources to address community
issues. He also teaches a graduate course in nonprofit management at Brigham
Young University's Marriott School of Management.
Mr. Hulterstrom has taught and consulted around topics including asset-based
community development, community impact, board of directors relations,
nonprofit marketing, and efficiency in technical innovation. He has worked
with a broad variety of groups, ranging from the Points of Light Foundation
and America Service Commissions National Conferences to
the Kiwanis International and E-philanthropy Conferences. Before beginning
his career at United Way, he served as the project director of Utah Special
Olympics. Mr. Hulterstrom serves on the American Association of State
Service Commissions, State Homeless Coordinating Committee and Utah Commission
on Volunteers. He recently volunteered with the Winter Olympics as the
accreditations manager at Peaks Ice Arena. His past service includes membership
in the United Way of America Membership Committee, and United Way of America
Brand Leadership Task Force, as well as president and chairman of several
local and state-wide organizations. Mr. Hulterstrom holds a B.A. in business
management with a marketing emphasis from Brigham Young University.
