Sponsors

Sub for Santa is a volunteer driven program that couldn't exist without Sponsors.  Please help those applicants requiring assistance this year by being a Sub for Santa sponsor. Sponsors can either sign-up online or call 801-356-6300.  For further information, please also view the link called Sponsor FAQ.

Sub for Santa - serving Provo, Orem, Payson, Spanish Fork, American Fork, Lehi, and other towns in Utah County. Thank you for your interest in providing support for the Sub for Santa program. Please answer the following questions. We will then contact you with further details.

We are now accepting stand-by sponsors for families whose sponsors may cancel. Please list the latest date and time you can receive names by, and we will contact you if a family becomes available. Another United Way of Utah County program EveryDay Learners is in need of new children’s books (ages 0-8). Sharing some of your favorite children’s books is a great alternative to sponsoring a family. Books can be donated at 148 N. 100 West in Provo.

Sponsors are asked to provide two new items of clothing, two new toys, and a book for each child. To help you in your budgeting and planning, past sponsors have mentioned that they have spent anywhere from $70-$100 for each child. We are especially in need of sponsors who can help families with children ages 11-16.

Families will be applying for help through December 12th. It is important we screen and review the families so we are helping those most in need.

Sub for Santa helps families in Utah County (i.e. Provo, Orem, Lehi, Spanish Fork). Very few families apply for help from towns north of Orem, so families from the north county area may not be available. Factors like affordable housing and transportation are some reasons for this. We will do our best to assign you a family within 10 miles of your home, but when those families are not available, you may be assigned one a little further away.

We are especially in need of sponsors who will help families in south Utah County (Payson, Santaquin, etc.).

(You may still receive a Spanish family who speaks English. This question only applies to families who do not speak the English language.)
