United Way Day of Caring
United Way Day of Caring is an opportunity to improve the community through service. After breakfast at BYU's LaVell Edwards Stadium, groups of volunteers provide service at various nonprofit organizations and homes throughout Utah County. Service projects include landscaping, painting, repairing and cleaning.
In 2011, approximately 1,200 volunteers participated in Day of Caring and helped provide service throughout Utah County. There were 37 different businesses and organizations involved, with 36 different projects organized around the county. United Way estimated more than 3,600 hours of service donated for Day of Caring.
