Neighbor-to-Neighbor Response

The effects of the current economic crisis are all around us. Many families are forced to make decisions between daily needs such as food, rent and child care. Local community providers who meet crisis needs are dealing with longer waiting lists and fewer donations. Food bank shelves are bare, and people can’t afford the gas needed to drive to the help they need. More people are seeking credit counseling and mortgage assistance to try to make ends meet. More families have been pushed to the point of desperation resulting in rising numbers of foreclosures. It is impossible to predict the serious challenges that lie ahead.

Call to Action

United Way of Utah County is dedicated to ensuring the community’s basic needs are met. When the economy is suffering, additional resources are needed to make sure every member of Utah County has life’s necessities. By working with our community partners to guarantee resources reach the families and individuals in the community who are struggling, we hope to advance the common good as we create long-lasting change. We invite everyone to LIVE UNITED by choosing to Give, Advocate and Volunteer to prevent our neighbors from falling into crisis. These increased resources will not only help the families and individuals who are struggling during this difficult time but also create a better Utah County for everyone.
