United Way Day of Caring
United Way Day of Caring is an opportunity to improve the community through service. After breakfast at BYU's LaVell Edwards Stadium, groups of volunteers provide service at various nonprofit organizations throughout Utah County. Service projects include landscaping, painting, repairing and cleaning.
In 2009, more than 1,000 volunteers participated in Day of Caring and helped provide service throughout Utah County. There were 40 different businesses and organizations involved, with 29 different projects organized around the county. United Way estimated more than 3,000 hours of service donated for Day of Caring.
Be sure to mark your calendars for this year’s Day of Caring on Wednesday, September 8. For information on how to get involved, call 801-374-2588.
