Someone once said, "A citizen of America will cross the ocean to fight for democracy, but won't cross the street to vote in a national election." On November 2, we all have a great opportunity to fight for democracy. We can all choose to make a difference. We can all choose to let our voices be heard by voting.

Halloween is in the air!

We've looked up some of the Top Halloween Costumes for 2010. If you're still looking for ideas, these seem to be pretty popular this year:
1. Modern-Day Vampire (Twilight, anyone?)
2. Jersey Shore Cast Members (I'm just as surprised as you, believe me)
3. Avatar (Buy some blue paint and a black wig and you've got an Oscar-winning costume)
4. Lady Gaga (There really are so many off-the-wall options with this one)

Some Food for Thought

Between our two busy schedules, my husband and I have gotten on this kick of freezing foods and meals so that we can prepare them for dinner quickly and easily on our busiest evenings. Sometimes we worry, though, about how long different foods will keep in our freezer. The convenience of heat-and-serve, home cooked dinners is amazing ... we just want to be sure we're not going to get sick.
